Beverage pairings aren’t just for beer and wine — coffee, tea, or anything people geek out over can be paired to elevate the food experience. I personally love tea pairings because, well, I love tea, but also they are much easier to enjoy almost any time. Wine pairings on a weekday afternoon aren’t gonna fly!
Here are three pairings I think you will really enjoy. There is my take on the Instagram-famous avocado toast. A scrumptious and elegant brioche recipe that is elegant enough for high tea, but also just great for breakfast. If you are a chocolate lover, I have something special for you that can be breakfast or dessert.
Ricotta Rosemary & Honey Toast
There is something very “let them eat cake” about this combo. Great for breakfast or for whenever you decide to rewatch Downton Abbey. Here is what you will need:
- Brioche
- Fresh raspberries
- Rosemary
- Honey
- Ricotta cheese
This toast is delightful with Numi’s White Rose. Simply toast a slice of brioche bread, spread about 2 tablespoons of ricotta cheese on it. Add a few raspberries and rosemary leaves, then drizzle with honey.
Avocado Breakfast Toast
I would be lying if I said I only eat this for breakfast. I usually soft boil a handful of eggs on the weekend and eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout. It’s a great post-gym meal!
- 1/2 avocado
- Soft boiled egg
- 3 cherry tomatoes, sliced
- Cilantro leaves
- Wheat bread
- Sel gris salt
- Freshly cracked pepper
This healthy start to your day is wonderful with Numi’s Dry Desert Lime. Between the tea and the toast, it is like deconstructed guacamole! - 1/2 of a banana
- Chia seeds
- Chopped peanuts
If you really want to get your dessert on, try this with Numi’s Chocolate Rooibos! Spread nutella over a toasted slice of cinnamon raisin bread and top it with some banana slices. Sprinkle a few chia seeds over the bananas and top the whole thing with chopped peanuts.
