It’s hot. No seriously, it is really hot out. Summer is still kicking away, and the last thing I want is hot cup of tea. Well here is a delicious way to get all of the benefits of green tea during those hot August nights. Enter the Green Tea Smoothie Bowl!
Now to get the full effects of green tea, it is best steeped. We are gonna cheat a bit since we don’t want a warm smoothie. You can do one of two things, warm up the almond milk and steep the tea. Then chill it in the fridge over night. Or, my preferred way… cut open the bag, add it to the milk, and cold brew it overnight in the fridge.
Of course, if you are in a hurry, it is reasonable to just dump the Mate Lemon Tea into the blender at blending time and go from there.
Add the 1 cup of green tea infused almond milk (within or without the tea leaves), 1 avocado, 1/2 cup of spinach, 1/2 of a banana, 1/2 cup of pineapple, and 1/2 cup of peaches to your blender. Blend until smooth.
Slice up the remaining banana. Divide the smoothie between two bowls and top with the banana, chia seeds, and pumpkin seeds.
Enjoy!
