Strawberry Matcha Lemonade Slushie

Ingredients
- Matcha Lemonade Layer:
- ½ cup lemon juice
- ½ cup water
- 2½ tablespoons sugar
- 2½ cups diced green apples, frozen
- 1 teaspoon Numi Ceremonial or Citrus Matcha
- 2 cups ice
- Strawberry Lemonade Layer:
- ½ cup lemon juice
- ½ cup water
- 2½ tablespoons sugar
- 2½ cups frozen strawberries
- 2 cups ice
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients for the matcha layer into a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer the matcha lemonade slushie into a bowl, and freeze while you prepare the second layer.
- Rinse the blender, and add all the ingredients for the strawberry lemonade layer. Blend until smooth. Transfer the strawberry lemonade slushie to a bowl.
- Gather 4 glasses. Divide the matcha lemonade slushie into the 4 glasses. Then, divide the strawberry lemonade slushie into the glasses. Garnish with slices of lemon and insert straws into the glasses to serve.
Notes
If your blender gets stuck while making the slushies, turn off the blender and stir everything with a spatula before turning on the blender again. You can also use your blender’s tamper tool to stir the ingredients as the blender is running.
