If you love Numi teas, try this refreshing, sweet and summery drink with a beautiful layered effect that’s reminiscent of a sunset on a hot June evening. With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, it makes a great addition to a fancy brunch!
When celebrating mom, brewing Presence tea holds special meaning- celebrating her guiding presence in my life, and setting an intention to give her the gift of being fully present, in the moment, as we’re spending time together.
For a mocktail option, brew some iced tea and use it in place of the wine/champagne for an elevated Arnold Palmer, or use sparkling white grape juice for a fizzy treat.
- Teasan Simple Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tea bags
- Mango Sunset Mimosa
- 1 ½ fresh, ripe mangos
- ¼ -½ cup Presence teasan simple syrup (recipe below)
- Sparkling wine or champagne
- Teasan Simple Syrup
- Boil water, remove from heat, and steep Presence tea bags according to the directions on the box.
- Remove the tea bags, and return the pot with brewed tea to your stovetop, adding sugar and stirring over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Store in the refrigerator up to one month and add to cocktails, lemonade, and iced tea!
- Mango Sunset Mimosa
- Peel mangos and remove the pit. Place mango flesh in a blender with simple syrup, and liquefy on high speed. Pour into champagne glasses, filling them halfway, and refrigerate until ready to serve. Before serving, fill glasses to the brim with chilled sparkling wine or champagne. The mango mixture and wine will create lovely layers in the glass, but be sure to give it a stir before drinking to ensure mango goodness in every sip!
